Set Up:
Twelve players are set up inside of a large grid, playing 8v4. During the drill, the attackers play keep away from the defenders, using six players on the outside and two on the inside. When the defenders win the ball, they play keep away from the two attackers on the inside. If the two attackers cannot win the ball within 30 seconds, two new attackers switch in. Balls put out of play are re-started by the Feeder, and after five minutes, the six players on the outside switch into the middle.
Coaching Points:
1. Anticipate turnovers and switch quickly from attacking to defending and vice versa.
2. Commit to winning the ball back immediately after you lose it. Do not ‘switch off’.
3. One defender plays in the space behind the other three in order to balance the field.
Progressions:
1. Limit the attackers to two touches.
