Set Up:
Five players are set up on a small field, starting at the cones. Player 1 begins the drill by opening up and passing to Player 2. From there, Player 2 passes up to Player 3, and Player 3 plays the ball square to Player 4, running from the corner. Player 4 finishes the sequence with a thru ball to Player 5. Player 5 returns the ball to Player 2 to re-start the drill in another direction, and the five players re-form a diagonal line. Every 2-3 minutes, the players rotate to new positions.
Coaching Points:
1. Jump out from behind the defender instead of hiding in dead space.
2. Short passes should be played to the feet of the receiver and not into space.
3. Player 5 should hold his run until Player 4 looks up and sees him.
Progressions:
1. Player 2 jumps out on either side of Player 3.
