Set Up:
There are 10-12 players set up in the attacking third, starting at the cones. To begin the drill, Player 1 wall passes with Player 2, and then changes the ball over to Player 3. Player 3 turns and passes up to Player 4, and then overlaps him. Player 4 lays the ball off for Player 3, who carries the ball towards the corner for a cross and finish with Players 1 and 2. During the drill, the players rotate clockwise to all of the positions.
Coaching Points:
1. If Player 4 has enough time to turn and look towards goal, then the overlap is on.
2. Go to the ball in order to receive, rather than wait for the ball to come to you.
3. Open up and change the field within two touches, and drive the ball across.
Progressions:
1. Player 4 can play back to Player 3 for an early cross.
