Set Up:
There are 12-16 players set up in the attacking third, starting at the cones. Player 1 begins the drill with a pass up to Player 2. Player 2 takes the dribble across the field as Player 1 overlaps down the line. As Player 2 plays the ball to the corner, Players 3 and 4 begin their runs to the near and far posts. Player 1 crosses the ball, and Players 3 and 4 finish on goal. Upon completion, the attackers rotate to new lines, and the drill re-starts on the opposite flank.
Coaching Points:
1. Time your run so that you can finish the cross at sprint speed.
2. Circle your run and approach the ball at an angle.
3. If you can’t score with the header, head it back across to the other post.
Progressions:
1. Player 2 can strike an early cross.
