Set Up:

There are 9-12 players set up in a small grid, working their way across the field. Player 2 begins play by making an inside-out run across the field. Player 1 passes up to Player 2 and makes an outside-in run into the center. Player 2 switches the ball over to Player 3 as Player 1 dummies the pass. From there, the players repeat the combination until they reach the end of the grid. Upon completion, they rotate to new positions and start back across.    

Coaching Points:

1.  Hold the run and then accelerate into the center just before the pass is struck.

2.  Stay sideways on to the passer and then run over the top of the ball.

3.  A pass that is struck way too hard is not meant for you. Dummy it and let it go thru.

Progressions:

1.  Use two groups and run the drill in both directions.
