Set Up:
There are fifteen players set up on a large field split into three zones, playing 5v5 plus five. During play, three of the neutrals play in the central zone, and the other two play on the end lines. To score, the attacking team must work the ball down the field one zone at a time and then pass the ball to the neutral attacker on the end line. After the attacking team scores, they keep the ball and attack in the other direction. Games are played to two goals with a five minute time limit. The winning team stays on the field, and the losing team switches out with the neutrals.
Coaching Points:
1. Play one and two touch soccer, moving the ball faster than the defenders can recover.
2. Anticipate changes of possession and attack with superior numbers.
3. Maintain possession until a good opportunity to attack materializes. Don’t force it.
Progressions:
1. Limit the neutrals to one touch.
