Set Up:
On a small split field, two groups of five players pass and move within their half. On the coach's signal, three players from each group cross over to attack the opposite small goal 3v2. The first team that scores (called out by the coach) retrieves their ball out of the goal and attacks the opposite goal 5v5. Play goes to completion from there. The attackers score 1 point for a goal scored during a 3v2 and 2 points for a goal scored during the 5v5. A goal scored on the counterattack is worth 1 point. Attackers may not score from inside of their own half.
Coaching Points:
1. Attack the defender at speed and force him to commit first.
2. Once your attack is up to speed, either increase or maintain that speed.
3. Isolate defenders and use 2v1 combinations during both portions of the drill.
Progressions:
1. Add one player to each team and attack the other goal 4v2.
