Set Up:
There are 9-12 players set up in the attacking third, starting at the cones. The 1st Feeder begins the drill with a pass up to the 2nd Feeder. The 2nd Feeder plays the ball back to any of the attackers, and all of the players release from the cones with the 2nd Feeder’s first touch. Play continues 4v2 to completion. If the defenders win the ball, they can score in the two small goals set up outside of the penalty area. On goals and balls put out of play, the drill is re-started by the 1st Feeder. The players should rotate to all of the positions during the drill.
Coaching Points:
1. Try not to get too wide with the runs to goal. Maintain good shooting angles.
2. The attack must go to goal at speed, and be as direct as possible.
3. The attackers must sprint back to an onsides position as the defenders step up.
Progressions:
1. Limit the number of passes made in the penalty area.
